Amala Paul who was introduced in the Malayalam movie "Neelathamara" did few supporting roles in small budget movies. Later she appeared as Sundari in Sindhu Samaveli which got critical acclaim for her performance in this controversial character. This movie however didn't do well, but in her next flick Mynaa, she was noted by many for her performance. After which she started signing projects with leading actors and directors.
Her last three movies Deiva Thirumagal,
Vettai and Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi did really good in box office. However her next movie Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal didn't do well. She currently hasn't signed any Tamil films yet, but she is listening to scripts from leading directors and will sign one very soon.
