| IPL 2012 Opening Ceremony Photos |
IPL 2012 Opening Ceremony which was held at YMCA College of Physical Education grounds, Nandanam, Chennai on April 3rd 2012 was indeed a spectacular event. IPL 5, the event kick started with Amitabh Bachchan praising cricket and cricket players in a form of poem which is a recital of Prasoon Joshi's poem and how he wished to be born as a cricket player or to be a part of cricket in some form. Then it was Salman Khan's turn to set the stage on fire with his dance moves. This was followed by a stunning dance performance by Actor, Director and Choreographer Prabhu Deva.
You might wonder where did all the Bollywood Diva's go? Well, they sure made their mark on stage. After Prabhu Deva dancing to few Hindi songs and one Tamil song it was Priyanka Chopra's turn who performed to few Hindi songs which include "Aaj Ki Raat". Well, the show didn't stop yet. When Priyanka finished it was Kareena who performed and she sure made her fans happy.
Now for the big one, Yes! we are talking about Katy Perry.
The girl from California who set the stage on fire by singing one of her favourite "Teenage Dream" made all the audience go super hyper, with posters such as "Katy we love you"
Then in the end, all the ipl team captains were called on to the stage and MS Dhoni(CSK team) who won the cup last season kept the cup in front of all the captains.
