The audio launch of the much expected movie Neethane En Ponvasantham took place at Nehru Indoor Stadium on Sept 1st 2012. Many legends took part in the event and also Jiiva who plays the lead in this film shared his experience of working in this film directed by Gautham Menon.
He said "Gautham Menon gave me an new image makeover in Neethane En Ponvasantham, he transformed me from a local wine shop guy to a coffee shop guy," with his trademark smile. He also added saying that,
"He also taught me a few English words," in a comical manner.
Earlier Gautham tought of portraying Jiiva as a local boy in this film, but Jiiva who has been doing a lot of similar roles has requested Gautham not to potray the same and thus now the final output looks fantastic we hear.
