Priyamani who was introduced in the Telugu movie Evare Atagaadu was noticed by many after her tamil movie Kangalal Kaidhu Sei. She later started signing several Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam projects. Her career rose to a peak after her portrayal of Muthazhagu in Paruthi Veeran. She won National Film Award for Best Actress, Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil, Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress and Vijay Award for Best Actress for Paruthi Veeran in which she acted opposite Karthi who made his debut in this film.

She also has one Bollywood project to her credit which is Raavan in which she plays Jamuni. Priyamani latest movie includes Baburao Ninnodala, Anna Bond and Grandmaster for which she is currently filming now. She hasn't signed any Tamil films yet.
