59th National Awards Winners List

59th National Awards Winners
The Dirty Picture sweeps 3 national awards in the categories such as like Best Actress, Best Make Up and Best Costumes. Followed by Chillar Party which won awards for the categories such as Best Children's Film, Best Screenplay and Best Costumes awards. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has bagged two awards for categories like Best Sound Design and Best Choreographer.

However these names were just announced in Delhi on March 7th 2012. Officially the awards will be distributed at an award ceremony which is to be held on 3rd of May 2012 in the capital city.

National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment - Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai in Tamil Directed by Suseenthiran

National Film Award for Best Children's Film - Chillar Party in Hindi Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Vikas Bahl

Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director - Aaranya Kaandam Directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja in Tamil

National Film Award for Best Actor - Girish Kulkarni for Deool in Marathi

National Film Award for Best Actress - Vidya Balan for The Dirty Picture in Hindi

National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor - Appukutty for Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai in Tamil


National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress - Leishangthem Tonthoingambi Devi for Phijigee Mani in Manipuri

National Film Award for Best Child Artist - 1. Partho Gupte for Stanley Ka Dabba in Hindi.

2. Chillar Party Group for Chillar Party in Hindi.

Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration - Insha Allah and Mindscape in Hindi Directed by Ashwin Kumar and Arun Chadha.
