Marudhanayagam, the most talked about movie ever because of its big budget and rumors likeKate Winslet being cast opposite Kamal Hassan in the movie is back in the news again. This time with much bigger news ever that one can possibly imagine. Yes! Kamal is trying to rope in our Superstar Rajinikanth for this movie.
Marudhanayagam original schedule began in the year 1997. To add to the much publicity it had the very own queen Elizabeth II of England participate in the opening ceremony of the movie. But, unfortunately the shooting of the movie stopped due to financial reasons. No one was ready to take up the movie because of its high budget. Even sun pictures backed off when Kamal had a discussion with them.
In an interview to Mumbai Daily, Kamal Hassan has said that,"In Marudhanayagam there is a role specially tailor made for Rajini.
Im sure this will work out well. We have acted in 10 movies together so far, but in the recent times we haven't had that chance" he also added saying that "I think both me and Rajini would be perfect for such a magnum opus movie"

Well let’s all hope that this dream combo will work together again and give us the much awaited movie Marudanayagam soon.
