Samantha Ruth Prabhu who cruised her way to fame after a small role in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa which was her first movie directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, later on did the lead role in the same year for the Telugu version of the same movie "Ye Maaya Chesave" which was a instant hit. She also won her Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - South.
