Actor Vijay who is often known as Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay is celebrating his 38th birthday today. Born to S. A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar he was named Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar and he had a sister who died when she was two years old due to unknown reasons. 

As usual Vijay will spend his time doing good to others. If sources are to be believed, it seems the actor chose to gift new born babies at Egmore Hospital on his birthday with a golden ring.
