The latest news making rounds in Kollywood and Tollywood is that, Anushka shetty has been approached to do the role which was played by Vidya Balan in the movie "The Dirty Picture". The role was originally inspired by Silk Smita.
Also Vidya Balan's another movie titled Kahaani in which she plays the role of a pregnant women who goes from London to India in search of her missing husband and it was a very powerful role and she was praised for doing justice to that role.
