Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead is one of the most expected movie of the year. This movie which is directed by A.R Murugadoss is going on at a brisk pace. Most of the scenes were shot outside Tamilnadu since there was a problem with the producers council union. After Velayudham and Nanban which was a huge hit this is Vijay's next and the expectation around it is soaring sky high.

Vijay will be seen in a new avatar. If sources are to be believed, Vijay will be playing a encounter specialist in this movie. Others in this movie will include Jayaram and Sathyan. Music is composed by Harris Jayaraj and Cinematography by Santhosh Sivan. This movie is made at a budget of almost Rs.70 crore. This will also be Kajal's biggest film in her career. Thuppaki is expected to release on mid 2012.
