Mamta Mohandas, the actress and playback singer is also a cancer survivor. She had Hodgkin's Lymphoma for which she had undergone Chemotherapy sessions but with confidence and positive support she fought it off. She even had to cut her hair off completely for the Chemotheraphy Sessions.

Later at November 11th 2011 she got engaged to Pregith Padmanabhan, soon after which she got married on December 28th 2011 to Pregith who is a Businessman based in Bahrain.

Recently Mamta is doing three Malayalam movies such as Arike, Musafir and Mathilukalkappuram. She has one Tamil which is Thadaiyara Thaakka.
