Things are looking good at the theatres this year. There are plenty of big-budget, highly-anticipated flicks to watch. Here are some of the big titles to watch out for:
Gangster Squad (Now Playing): In 1949 LA a group of police officers lead by two sergeants work together in secret, putting aside the law to take down the ruthless mob boss Mickey Cohen.
Identity Thief (8 Feb.): Mild-mannered businessman Sandy Patterson has his identity stolen, and when he takes off to catch the perpetrator he discovers he may have signed up for more than he can handle.
A Good Day to Die Hard (14 Feb.): The fifth in the franchise, this time McClane
goes to Russia to help his son, who he discovers is a CIA agent working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, resulting in a father-son mash up to save the day.

Iron Man 3 (3 May): After The Mandarin destroys much of Stark’s personal world, Tony is left to discover exactly who he is without the suit.
Star Trek Into Darkness (17 May): The crew of the Enterprise is called home, discovering that someone within their organization has destroyed the fleet and all it stood for. Kirk and the crew scour a world at war, hunting down the man responsible for it all.
The Great Gatsby (10 May): Nick Carraway moves to Long Island from the Midwest, quickly becoming enthralled by the lavish lifestyle of his neighbor Jay Gatsby, bearing witness to a tale of obsession and tragedy.
The Wolverine (26 July): Set after the events of X-Men Trilogy, Wolverine is in modern day Japan. Struggling in unknown territory, Logan must face his arch-nemesis while dealing with his immortality after watching friends and loved ones die.
Kick-Ass 2 (28 June): Costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass groups up with normal citizens he inspired to don costumes and fight crime while the Red Mist plans revenge against him for the death of his father in the first movie.
Thor: The Dark World (8 Nov.): Set after the events of The Avengers, Thor must battle Malekith, ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, who threatens to plunge the entire universe into darkness.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (13 Dec.): The Dwarves, Bilbo (now with the One ring), and Gandalf continue their journey to Erebor to confront Smaug and recapture the Lonely Mountain.
