Namitha who entered the movie industry with the film Sontham slowly started gaining fame. Her first Tamil movie Engal Anna in which she played the character Gowri was well received by many. Later on she started signing many films.
Namitha was also seen in Billa as Lisa in which she set the screens on fire with her Bikini act. The actress is currently filming Jagadamba, Sikkapatte Istapatte and Benki Birugalle in Kannada and Sarkar Gunda and Sukra in Telugu.
