Samaran which has Vishal and Trisha in the lead roles is being directed by Thiru. The movie which is shot in foreign locales is gearing up for release soon. Others in the cast include Manoj Bajpai, Sunaina and J. D. Chakravarthy in supporting roles. Vishal, who is playing a "forest trekker" is working hard on his looks for the film.

Director Thiru earlier worked with Vishal in Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai which was a runaway hit. This movie is touted to be a action adventure film.
